Bread for all supports capacity building activities of selected partners in the South. The capacity builing projects go hand in hand with the strategic priorities of our development policy in Switzerland:

• Right to food and Agriculture
• Climate and Development
• Fair Trade
• Fair Work / Corporate Social Responsibility
• Fair Finances / Anti-Corruption

Appart from its capacity building projects and the direct support of advocacy-groups in the South, Bread for all supports about 350 development projects and programs in Asia, Latin America and Africa.

The projects focus on empowerment.  Bread for all does not implement the projects itself. Our Swiss Partner Organisations take care of the operational responsibility in collaboration with their Partners in the South. They are responsible for the operational implementation of the projects.

With the combination of development policy in the North and development projects in the South, Bread for all promotes comprehensively better life conditions and sustainable development. 

Monitoring and evaluation

Project selection, monitoring and evaluation is based on quality criteria defined by all protestant development agencies in 1999. Bread for all provides the required quality assurance by application of these standards and its supervisory services for all Swiss Partner Organisations.
