Workers as Machines: Foxconn’s Military Management (pdf)
Report about working conditions at the world’s leading electronics manufacturer. SACOM / Honkong, October 2010. With the support of Bread for all.
Fair computersBread for all pleads for improved labour conditions in the computer manufacturing industry. The campaign ‘High Tech - No Rights?’ attracted quite a lot of attention. Some corporations have already adopted codes of conducts on their supply chains. In governmental procurement the respect of core ILO-Conventions in the computer industry has also become an issue. In China a Bread for all partner organization is running a pilot-project on worker’s training, in cooperation with Hewlett Packard. It is the first time that such a training project with and for workers takes place in China in the electronic sector. The website ‘fair-computer.ch’provides broad information regarding research, results and requests of the ‘High Tech - No Rights?’-campaign, including political actions and current negociations with corporations.
