Industrial mass production and its excessive use of chemicals and energy are not sustainable. Already one third of the fertile soil has been destroyed by industrial mass production. Negligence of a sustainable agriculture and unregulated free trade policies are responsible for the fact that over 1000 millions of people that are suffering from hunger and malnutrition..

  • an agricultural policy that firstly serves the needs of small scale peasants, secondly furthers biodiversity and sustainable methods of production and thirdly aims at
  • strengthening its partners in the South in their call for land reforms that guarantee save access to land and other resources.
  • more engagement of Switzerland in public agricultural research, in consultancy and in sustainability.
  • strengthening the awareness of Swiss consumers in order to follow the motto ‘seasonal, regional and fair’
